USAIHC Seeks Former Participants

The USA International Harp Competition is asking former participants to share their experiences to be included in a tribute to Susann McDonald, the competition’s founder and Artistic Director. The tribute will take place during the 2016 competition, June 8–18, in Bloomington, Ind. “Being the Silver Medalist at the First USA IHC in 1989 prepared me for the challenges of winning a top ranked orchestra position as well as preparing young harpists with aspirations of performing at a competition level,” says former prize winner Elizabeth Hainen. All past participants are requested to contact the competition with their comments about how participation in the prestigious event altered or enhanced their path in any profession.
