German harpist Silke Aichhorn has recently released her twenty-second CD, “Miniaturen 3,” on her own record label – Hörmuzik. It is available on her website. Aichhorn is also a featured artist on Harp Column Music, where her arrangements for harp can be purchased for download.
The track listing of “Miniaturen 3” combines rarely played pieces with more standard repertoire. Some highlights are Carl Oberthür’s version of the Bach/Gounod “Ave Maria” (see video, below), “Alla Turca Jazz” by Fazil Say, “River flows in you” by Yiruma, a Schubert Impromptu and the “Tango” by Jean-Michel Damase.
