Repertoire for 2019 Glowing Harp Competition announced

Repertoire for the 2019 Glowing Harp Competition has been announced. Taking place Apr. 5–10, 2019 in Kharkiv, Ukraine and open to harpists around the world, the competition offers seven divisions for competitors of varying ages. The deadline to submit an application is Feb. 1, 2019 and must include a letter of recommendation and your planned program. The competition will be judged by composer Paul Patterson, plus harpists Zoraida Avila, Katerina Musliyenko-Savkina, Larisa Klievtsova, and Daiva Šlyzienė. Maria Pozdnyakova and Oksana Sidyagina, both from Russia, took top honors in the 2017 Glowing Harp Competition, tying for second prize in Category IV.

“Debut” category: up to age 8

2–4 varying pieces (up to 5 min total)

І category: up to age 11

2–4 varying pieces (5–10 min total)

ІІ category: up to age 14

Virtuosic piece from romantic period
