Marissa Knaub has been appointed harp instructor at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music, in Youngstown, Ohio. The school offers Bachelor of Music degrees in composition, music education, music performance, jazz studies, and recording technology. “I am very excited to be the harp instructor at this incredible music school,” says Knaub. “Harp students have enriching musical opportunities including lessons and numerous ensembles. I’m looking forward to working with both harp majors and students who want to continue harp while studying other fields as well.”

Knaub is a graduate of the Performance Studies program at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Yolanda Kondonassis. She also received a Master of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University where she studied with Jeanne Chalifoux, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, where her studies included jazz harp with Felice Pomeranz.
