Lyon & Healy Awards Goes to Europe

For the first time, Lyon & Healy will present the Lyon & Healy Awards in Europe. The award competition will take place February 15–17, 2013, during the International Harp Festival at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, in Cardiff. The event will see 41 contestants vie for one of three awards of £2,000 cash.

The required competition repertoire includes Impromptu for Harp (Faure, Gabriel), and Suite for Harp (Britten, Benjamin). Jury members include Jana Bouskova, Maria Luisa Rayan-Forero, and Karen Vaughan. The three award winners will perform at a winners’ recital on Sunday, February 17 at 4:30 p.m. The competition and the winners’ recital are open to the public.
