Lyon & Healy has just announced a summer concert series from June 6 – 9, 2018, with all events taking place at the concert hall of its Chicago factory. Both solo and ensemble programs are planned for the extended weekend affair, featuring a solo recital by Emmanuel Ceysson, principal harpist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. World-renowned harpist Lavinia Meijer and USA International Harp Competition gold medal winner Katherine Siochi will also present solo recitals and acclaimed contemporary harpist Brandee Younger will perform a concert with her band. The series will also include workshops led by Lyon & Healy staff and guest artists, while past Lyon & Healy award winners will be showcased as performers for the planned masterclasses. The series will culminate in a final solo and chamber concert jointly featuring Ceysson, Meijer, and Younger.

“We enjoy inviting the harp community into our home, giving harpists a more intimate way to experience our handcrafted instruments and world-class artists,” says Lyon & Healy representative Heather Azem. For those interested, she mentioned that early bird registration rates will be offered through Feb. 15, 2018. In addition to the 2018 summer program, they will also be announcing new events to take place in 2018 as part of its Harptacular series.
