Lyon & Healy has announced results of their first-ever Lyon & Healy Awards in Europe. The winners (in order of performance) are: Elizabeth Bass, Llywelyn Jones, Jasmine Isabel Kuhne, and Markus Thalheimer.
The awards were given following three days of competition as part of the International Harp Festival, which took place Feb. 14–17, 2013, at the Royal College of Music and Drama, in Cardiff. Competitors were required to perform Impromptu for Harp (Faure, Gabriel) and Suite for Harp (Britten, Benjamin). Thirty-nine competitors competed for three prizes of £2000 to be used to further their education. After deliberation, the jury awarded a fourth prize.
