I am currently learning the Ibert Trio for violin, cello and harp. In the third movement, in the 6th and 8th bar after reh. number 29, is the treble clef all the way through the lower line? In a recording I found on youtube, the harpist plays the last eighth note in both those bars as though they were in the bass clef. (It brings out the musical line better that way, actually.)
I’m not sure, but balance is very difficult in this piece. You can’t let them play too loud or your lines won’t come out. There’s something about how string players can blend into each other and double their collective volume.
