The 2016 VSO Institute at Whistler will be starting on June 26, and going to July 5. Repertoire includes Richard Strauss’s Don Juan!
We will offer students, ages 15-25, a once-in-a-lifetime, comprehensive, and nurturing orchestral training program. Musical opportunities will abound, as all of our students play in the Whistler Institute Orchestra, rehearse and perform in chamber ensembles, participate in masterclasses and repertoire classes, and receive instrument-specific instruction. Student and faculty recitals, as well as a performance by the Whistler Institute Orchestra, will highlight an intense, fulfilling, and exciting summer music adventure. Elizabeth Volpé Bligh will be coaching the harp students.

Due to illness, I had to cancel my participation in VSOIW this summer. Michelle Gott kindly agreed to take over this session.
