I also posted this in “Coffee Break” but just in case someone doesn’t read that forum, I’ll also ask here: I have a L&H Prelude 38 strings that I want to amplify for playing ambient music at an art show. The harp doesn’t have any attached/built-in pick-ups.
Would a simple mic and amplifier be adequate? What would be a good amplifier, preferably relatively inexpensive, to use and what type of amp – acoustic guitar, bass, keyboard?
Would a pick-up that doesn’t permanently attach to the harp be a lot better than a mic? What kind/brand of pick-up and would just one be adequate? And what brand and type of amp might work best with a pick-up?
