It is important to me to show the concert audience the versatility of the harp,« writes the young
Viennese harpist Elisabeth Plank in the booklet of her most recently released debut CD. Also at the
Jeunesse, the multiple award-winner of national and international competitions takes the audience on
an exciting journey through three centuries of fascinating harp solo music: from the original sonatas
of Domenico Scarlatti, who already anticipated classical music in the time of Bach, to romantic
masterpieces by Gabriel Fauré and Franz Liszt up to milestones of modernism such as the Sonata
by Paul Hindemith or music by the Israeli composer Ami Maayani, who in "Maqamat" evokes the world
of Thousand and One Nights - "Saitensprünge" through a world of glittering timbres.
