The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos (San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Arts) is hosting an International Musical Composition Competition. Composers of all ages and nationalities are invited to submit their works for flute, viola, and harp – the trio combination made popular by Debussy’s Sonata for this ensemble of instruments. The deadline for submission is November 18, 2016, and the prize is €4,000.
