Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour
Persian composer Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour has documented a recording session for his new harp concerto A Persian Reflection in a video released on YouTube. The piece was commissioned ten years ago by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and was premiered in February, 2006, with Sioned Williams as the soloist. The recording session took place in April, 2016, with Gabriella Dall’Olio as the soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rahbari. The concerto will be published in 2016.
