French Harpist Wins Nice Competition

French harpist Amandine Carbuccia won first prize in the third International Harp Contest Nov. 23–28 in Nice, France. Camille Levecque of France won second prize, and Meret Haugh of Switzerland took home third prize. Carbuccia also won a special prize for the best interpretation of “Lamento” by Bernard Andres. Andres also headed the jury, which included Marie-Clarie Jamet of France, Mari Kimura of Japan, Daniel Douay of France, and Park Stickney of the United States.
