Hey all! I’m looking to purchase an old Pleyel or Pleyel-inspired 5/7 chromatic harp. I recently got my master’s degree from Oxford and wrote my thesis on the Pleyel harpe chromatique. Is there anyone out there who knows where I can find one of these things??

Try Morley – close to you too.

Isn’t it still taught at the Brussels Conservatory? They may know of a source too.

I have a Pleyel chromatic harp I’m interested in selling.

Tacye, the Brussels Conservatory unfortunately no longer teaches the chromatic harp. Their teacher retired and was replaced by someone who only teaches the pedal harp.

Carl, would you like to email me some photos of your harp? My email is simoneharp@gmail.com.

Thank you for your help, both of you!

It is! I can send you some pictures if you like. I’d love to sell it to someone who is interested in it as a playable instrument and not a decoration.
