Belgian harpist Anneleen Lenaerts has released a CD of harp concertos with the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Michel Tabachnik. The disc, which has been released on the Warner Classic label, includes harp concertos by Reinhold Glière (op. 78) and Joseph Jongen (op.129), along with Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. “For me the work of Joseph Jongen is the most particular of them all,” says Lenaerts on www.brusselsphilharmonic.be. “Without a doubt, Jongen is among the most important Belgian composers, with splendid pieces for the harp.”

Anneleen Lenaerts is currently principal harpist with the Vienna Philharmonic. In 2011 she won the Klara Award for young talent, including an opportunity to record a CD with the Brussels Philharmonic. Read more about her at www.anneleenlenaerts.com.
